Dale Lawton,
Director, Project on Campaign Conduct, Institute for Global Ethics
Dale Lawton is the director of the Project on Campaign Conduct at the Institute for Global Ethics in Camden, Maine. The Project is a national grassroots effort aimed at improving campaign quality by encouraging candidates to develop and follow campaign codes of ethics. He is the immediate past director of the Sorensen Institute for Political Leadership's Candidate Training Program.

Lawton has a Master's degree in Government from the University of Virginia and is the final stages of completing a Ph.D. with a focus on campaign advertising. He has written several articles on the effects of campaign advertising and ethics in campaigning. His work has been published by Campaigns & Elections magazine, the Brookings Institute (forthcoming), and others.

Lawton lives in Union, Maine with his wife and two children.
